I have a jacuzzi magnum force pool pump. A leak has started while the pump is running located at the bottom of where the motor housing connects with the large connecting ring. Is there a seal that needs to be replaced?

Jacuzzi pool pump leaking

Where is it leaking? if it is still leaking between the wet end which is the black plastic water housing and the motor then the seal is not properly set.

the pump is pumping and circulating hot water into jacuzzi, it will get hot. I think it is ok

Pool pump running low psi

your pump should be just fine once the water starts flowing again. You may have run it too long without enough water to cool the seal.
If it is leaking water between the Jacuzzi Pump housing and the motor then you will need a new pump seal. Those are common pool parts.

Jacuzzi (Carvin) Magnum, Force & Plus pump parts are hard to find.

How do you get the pump out of the housing on a jucuzzi magnum force pump

If yours is the model with the big round ring around motor, it is a large retaining nut. Remove this nut and the motor should come from the pump housing. Don't be too rough, plastic breaks.

Motor removal on a Jacuzzi magnum force pump.

The impeller is threaded onto the end of the motor shaft and the housing (pump body) is attached to the motor with the same bolts that hold the rear cover on the motor they run all the way through on most pumps.

SHAFT SEAL. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL THESE !! COMES WITH THE SEAL.. AND USE MAGIC LUBE ON THE TANK O-RING.. OR LOOK FOR YOUR LOCAL POOL PUMP MOTOR REPAIR GUY..SHOULD COST ABOUT 20.00 INSTALLED AND HAVE HIM DO IT.! WARNING !YOU DON'T WANT TO BREAK ANYTHING ON THAT PUMP !
