I got a panasonic nodel # SA-AK600 cd stereo sistemm, when i push the power boton it stais on fore 3 sec and on the scrin it sais f61 and it turns off.
Yes, my SC-AK600 was working fine one day, and the next it would only display F61 for a couple of seconds, and then nothing. I've unplugged it for hours to see if it would reset itself; reconnected all the speakers; tested the power cord, and checked Panasonic online for a solution. It seems to be a faulty power supply, in which case I'm not going to spend exorbitant cash to have it replaced. I haven't removed the casing yet -- need to retrieve 4 CDs, before I recycle this unit. However, I'll keep it for a while to see if anyone comes up with a less expensive (other than a new power supply) solution. If you get a tv repair man he can fix and order the part that is the problem it is a twelve pin plug that needs specilist tools to remove. The part is an amplifier chip, common problem with the sa-ak600.

F61 means that the power amp has something wrong with it.
It could mean the IC501 has failed or that there is something wrong to the power supply to it.
The good news is the service manual is free online. You can get it by simply putting the model number into google and searching for the PDF of it.
The pladder may not be turning, remove top, and remove clip, now carefully pull pladder off, make a note of the position it go's back in, this will expose some of the key parts.
I had the same problem. My unit would turn on, display F61, and turn off. I looked at the manual. It said if you see 'F61', check and correct the Speaker Cords connection. If this does not fix the problem, there is a Power Supply problem. Consult the dealer. Hope this helps.
sounds like the laser is no longer working. Call partstore at www.partstore.com and let them know what model number you have and that you are looking for a replacement laser for the unit. Replacement is for the mechanically inclined or a technician. The part is static sensitive so I recommend taking the unit to a repair center.
Try to power on the unit without the speakers connected. If it works normally without the error showing, then a speaker wire maybe shorted or a speaker defective. If the error F61 is still there, then most likely the Regulator IC is defective in the unit.
