Sounds like your convergence amps are probably bad. Check out http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n248/OFilippov/Dont%20look/Pioneer/BadPicture03.jpg and see if you have similar bowing between red and green when you try multipoint convergence. If so, you'll need new convergence amps, part STK392-120. Most people who are handy with a soldering iron can replace these parts in a couple hours.
You'll want to see http://home.earthlink.net/~oleg.filippov..., which details the whole procedure for a similar set. If you're up to it, you can purchase 2 convergence amps for $20 at http://www.electronix.com/, along with some heat sink compouds. Some people have also found 12 6.8 ohm resistors that are also a good idea to replace, but I found mine were fine and just the convergence amps did the trick. I have the tech manual that shows how to dissassemble, but it's around a 12M pdf file. There are 5 screws you need to pull out once you take off the rear panel, and lots of wires to label and make sure you get back in the right place. You should also be somewhat handy with a soldering iron, and have a solder sucker and some basic tools. It took me around 3 hours to do, but now my set works like a champ!

I believe we are having the same problem with the same tv. but I'm a bit confused by the description of red and green. Although the picture has the same bowing in the same colors...I see blue and yellow "ora's". Would this still be the same fix?
i think my lenses are misaligned, the color lines are bending and out of focus
