Most DD603 models are quite old now but this what worked for me. Check the latches inside at back of rails...especially the right one kept falling off even with new latches. The problem is a gap that is too big between end of rail and back metal panel of the dishwasher so a spacer installed can help. Also take off front panel with the 2 pullout plugs using plyers and look at the controller box on top right. For mine the plastic was falling apart. I just duct taped most of it together and tested the 2 buttons directly on the circuit board with powee on through the cycles. Don't worry you won't get fried! If working now align pushing up hard and make some spacers to hold firm in place. Test buttons again inside the dishwasher. Firmly fasten in place and put the front panel on again. Don't buy a new expensive controller box unless it's really kaput! Although this fixed it for me we ended up ordering a new model DD24 model to put an end to several fixes I've done but I plan to take and resell any of the good parts off the DD605.
Does it open the lid?... and does the display flash, as if paused?... if so, just clean the closed sensor lenses, top right hand corner of the drawer, and the little piece of plastic they shine into on the housing.

When it stops and beeps can you tell me all lights that are on when you open the drawer cheers. also check to see if the water in the tub is hot if not you have a heating issue. either a faulty element or Mtr Controller module. try swapping the Mtr Controller module (computer board) from the top drawer to the bottom drawer and see if that moves the fault. cheers
