How to update the maps on the Jensen GPS

Just go to jensen site to download the updates.

You need to navigate to the Horizon Navigation Online Shop (see Resources for the appropriate download page). Click on the Jensen manufacturer link located on the left menu pane. Choose your particular Jensen GPS model from the menu selection.

Choose the coverage area you wish to update your GPS unit with and choose to download the map updating software or have the software sent to you through the mail in DVD form. Fill out the order form information including your payment method (Visa, MasterCard or American Express are the only payment methods accepted). When you receive the updated software by either download or mail, install the software on your computer.

Follow the instruction prompts provided by the Navmate utility program with regard to updating your particular Jensen GPS unit's map software.

This is what I got back from Jensen/Audiovox:
"I am sorry, but this product line has been discontinued and there are will be no updates issued for the mapping software. Audiovox will continue to support these units for service and repair issues. I apologize for any disappointment this may have caused.

I will never again purchase an Audiovox/Jensen pieve of ****!

Please go to www.horizonnav.com and then E-shop
look up Jensen and buy a new maps and software upgrade.

i to am having the same problem,cant find any sites to update this dang thing.I love it though it has come in very handy.

I'm about to return my Jensen NVX430BT because apparently the maps cannot be updated! The maps installed on the unit I just received are obviously outdated and there is no support from Jensen to get them updated. Too bad, this thing has it all except good directions.

I have had the same problem in the past. I learned to check for support on anything before buying. If possible, try a Magellan. Excellent support site. Jensen, Uniden Maptraxx do not. Some are updateable, but only with their own software and it usually costs a bit.
