Error Code 2000-0146

what player are you useing windows medea player ??

hold the back button and the up button until you see the Zune logo then release. if this doesnt work then you are going to have to reset your Zune....however this will loose all the data on the zune so your music/movies will be completely gone. you are going to need to press and hold the back and up button until the zune logo appears then hold the back,play/pause, and the center button until you see "please wait"
if this doesnt work you have some serious issue. Contact customer support

do you have CD's you like... you have windows media on your PC... place CD unto CD tray close it...open Windows Media Player if its not open by default... hi-light the track (s) you like by clicking on to it now copy and save to a music folder (name it ???? what ever u like)... repeat this for CD's you like (you are saving on to your computer).... now plug up your Zune, go to start/ my computer/ open up Zune .... go back to start/ my computer find your music folder (you should have 2 windows open now) copy and paste or click and drag to Zune from the music folder.....

there are others these are the tops......... you download one these on to your PC.... once software is finished..... you can begin downloading mp3 files......... you will see that can retrieve by artist, name of track or album...... again you will point to your music folder to store download mp3 file also. and you will do the same process to get it on to your Zune..........

Have a friend with the same problem. We are trying this:

Try rebooting the Zune by pressing back button and up button at the same time for 10 seconds and see if it reboots. Hopefully something didn't fry when you got shocked.

you may have some songs on it that are not compatible or just not a good music file.
when you see that error delete the song and see if any others will play.
some files may have been corrupted, you also could have downloaded a virus

it seems as if something may have been attached badly on the inside that is a facttory problem is it still under warenty? if so i would send it back for a new one

As a last resort or if you are receiving error code C00D2772, erase the device, and then sync your content again. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Start the Zune software on the computer.
2. Connect your Zune device by using the Zune Sync Cable.
3. Click Settings, and then click device.
4. Click SYNC OPTIONS, and then click ERASE ALL CONTENT.
5. When you receive the following message, click Yes: Please Confirm. Are you sure you want to erase the contents of the connected Zune? You receive the "Erase All Content" message. This may take several minutes. Do not move or disconnect the Zune device until the message disappears.

Mp3 format is OK - I would reformat the player inside of Windows Media Player and try again.
