The frame should be warm but not excessively hot. This is called an anti sweat heater. It's purpose is simply to keep the door from sweating under normal operation. It sounds as though this heater is going out. You may want to have it replaced very soon. Once it completely fails the freezer door will start to sweat and cause water to pool on your floor. 2 things you neeed to check first of all clean teh coils underneath the refrig. then pull unit from wall and pull off rear compartment cover and see if the fan that cools compressor is running. it is possible the motor is jammed or bad. if the motor is bad you can put a house fan blowing into the comp compartment until you get it repaired.

Either your coils are dirty ( clean from the front after removing the kickplate , only what you can get to ) or , the condensor fan motor is bad ( motor which cools the compressor ) .

Drain hole is clogged behind the panel that covers the coils. I found a peice of solder blocking mine. Water was freezing on the bottom of the freezer and leaking out to the floor.

check the fan in the machine compartment...if the fan is not turning when the compressor is running you have a bad fan motor. this caused the youder loop to over heat trying to cool the condencer...hope it helps
