I have Nokia 7370 cell phone. Yesterday I have experimented with the Blue tooth, connected phone to the computer, loaded music, shut down the phone several times and eventually got "Phone memory protected" message.
When I am trying to open "Names" folder or use 1-touch dialing (which was pre-programmed previously), I see this message "Phone memory protected". I tried to restart the phone, took the battery off...it doesn't help. The phone is not asking for password of code. Just gives me this message.
How I can fix this problem?
Thank you .
Natasha
Under Menu>Contacts>Settings.... Under memory in use, change it to phone and SIM. It will probably ask for a security code which should be in your book, if you haven't changed it, its something like 0000 or 12345 or similar. then you should be able to copy all to the simcard.
Good Luck

This one normally work with that problem
1.) Remove all the messages in your phone.
2.) Restore to factory setting
Please response if it works so we can have some follow up. thanks

Thank you for the respond. I have fixed it.
But it is happened again and again every time when I am using Bluetooth connection to the computer. Do you know why?
Thank you.
I had the same problem - resolved when I turned "Security : Phone" OFF. I guess this is to prevent some thief from copying all of my contact information from my phone to their SIM card - or their contacts into my stolen phone? Anyway - try turning "Security : Phone" OFF.
