I was watching my tv and heard a pop sound and the screen went blank, but we still have sound. Can you help me?

Ur LCD inverter board it dead.Require changing to get the picture back.

Mine did the exact same thing... popping noise, then no picture, but still have audio. Mine was still under warranty and the repairman came and replaced the "motherboard" as he called it. Don't know how much this would cost as mine was covered.

The first thing you need to do is check for any large capacitors that may have blown on the Main Printed Circuit Board as well as the Power supply Circuit Board. That large POP you would have heard would have been one of the before mentined capacitors becoming faulty and blowing. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
