Mcculloch virginia mh542 hedge trimmer, fires 1st time, will only tick over roughly on full choke only then stalls when throttle applied, I have fitted new plug'cleaned air filter and new fuel mix but no change.

What ratio of oil do you reccomend for the

Depending on the age of the McCulloch cutter it could be 25:1 32:1 or on rare occasions 50:1.
Regardless you can't go wrong with 32:1. This ratio can be used in ANY 2 cycle engine with great results.

I have a McCulloch virginia mh 542 p hedge trimmer. I have not used it for approx two years since new and I cannot get it started and I can not find my user manual to see what I need to do. Help!

turn on, full choke, primer X5, pull cord.
if it don't start try cleaning spark plug and air filter, then try again.
