Listening to music, system shut off, checked fuse- its OK , turned on system tried it again- it did it again. unpluged every thing tried it again- it shut down again! turned every thing off from sub. next day turn on system while researching problem on WWW. now it turns off just sitting there-speaker thuds, green lights go out on sub & pod. few minutes later green light on sub comes back on & pod stays off untill i power it up. then all over again- speakes thuds, sub & pod shut off- minutes later green light on sub is on, pod is off.
what must i do? I really like the power in this system. how can i get this problem fixed, is it the sub?
I have a lot of music on my PC, I dont even own a stereo. any suggestions?
I had the same problem, apperantly creative made an error making the hardware for the subwoofer, and put in an mos-fet with to little resistance, i called creative and gave them the serial number behind the subwoofer and they sent me a new one that hasnt acted up yet.

I've got a dead Megaworks 550 on my desk too. Opened it up and it did not look very pretty. Apparently, capacitors leaking all over the circuit board.
