Freezer works, frig doesn't

Do u hear fan running in freezer? It only runs when compressor runs! Sounds like your problem:) check it out....

I see your Frigidaire refrigerator is not freezing in the freezer section but keeping your fresh food side cool. Some possibilities could be your refrigerator stuck in defrost mode, the control panel, or sealed system. I would recommend performing a reset on your appliance which would be flipping your household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. If that does not resolve your issue I would seek assistance from a professional to properly diagnose and repair your appliance. -Matt

Contact a professional. Sounds like either your damper door is not operating correctly and not letting enough cool air from the freezer enter, or there is an air leak that is making ice form .

if the freezers staying cold but not the refrige section,then its the damper vent door between the freezer and refrige section thats either frozen shut or the damper door motor is bad or without power,if nothings cold as in freezer and refrigerator sections,then its the ptc overload & relay on the compressor thats bad,unplug the ptc overload & relay off the side of the compressor and obtain an exact replacement and plug in the new replacement and it will again cool

So long as frozen food stays frozen and the fresh food temperature does not exceed 42 degrees you should be fine.

Check for two things. Look under the refrigerator and make sure the compressor fan is turning.

Second, check inside the freezer for proper operation of the fan that moves cool air throughout the freezer and refrigerator. If this fan is working, you can probably hear it. It should be behind an access plate in the freezer (near the top). Remove the plate and look at the fan. If it's not turning, you will have to replace the fan motor.

Check the reservoir behind the crispers for frozen lines. If it is froze it will take several days to thaw out with the frig below 40 degF. If it is not frozen you can disconnect the line at the water valve and see if the lever is operating the valve. Switch, water valve and waterlines and filter. process of elimination to find the culprit. Eric

the drain in the freezer compartment is frozen up you can remove all items from lower freezer and remove access panel on back of freezer compartment pick the ice out of the drain hole with a small screwdriver DO NOT USE SCREWDRIVER AROUND THE ALUMINUM COILS! once all ice is gone that you can see use hairdryer to blow into hole on medium heat. once it looks like it is gone take a small 1/4 plastic tubing and push down the hole to try to clear obstructions then run hot water down hole. if it still doesnt drain take rear access panel off of compressor area (back of refrig) look for drain hose and remove clamp take off and clean u might try this first. but you will have to remove ice from drain.

i suspect the fan is not working. take the back panel off inside the freezer and check that the fan is free to rotate, check for continuity thro the fan motor and check you have power to the fan
