Maytag quiet series model #:MDBH950AWB

The dishwasher lights are all blinking, it starts randomly, like one in every 50 times you press the buttons. I have unplugged it to reset several times. Nothing is working. I'm looking for a solution to blinking lights and it not starting. is there any other way to reset the controls????

    I have the same problem.  I can't start my dishwasher at all. Sometimes the lights work and sometimes the middle round area has flashing lines that change positions and right now there are no lights at all.  No matter what when I press start/cancel nothing happens!  I can't change the settings either.  It's like it doesn't even feel me pushing the buttons.

    Experiencing exactly the same problem. It started last week and by holding down the lock key I got it to work. Now the whole panel is dead, no lights and of course the dishwasher does not start.

    I have Maytag MBD8600AWW quiet series 300 & my lights come on but the dishwasher does not start. It is only 2 years old. HELP!!!

I have a Legacy Series Maytag Quietseries 200, and you can reset the panel by pushing and holding the "start" button until the lights flash and the cycle begins. Just realize that once it resets, you will have to let it run the full cycle.

    How long do you have to hold the button for? I held mine down for 25-30 secs and still nothing?

Find your circuit breaker for your dishwasher and turn it off for 3-5 minutes. Turn it back on, then turn on your dishwasher. If this works, after the complete cycle of your dishwasher, you have to turn it off manually by pressing "on" botton then press it 1 more time to cancel; this will turn off. The defect is, probably the moisture built up in the control board causing it to ground some of the connections. Suggestion for the manufacturer, insulate the control board to prevent absorbing moisture.

My Maytag Quiet Series 300 light is blinking 5 times by the lock button. It won't do anything else other than blink 5 times if any other button is hit. Help!!
When Control Lock is lit, all buttons are disabled. If you press
any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light flashes
5 times. The dishwasher door can be opened while the
controls are locked.

To turn off Lock, press and hold Heated Dry for at least
3 seconds.

Sounds like you have a bad Control Board

But with the price it cost, you might be better off buying a new dishwasher, preferably a different brand, cause that washer has some bad reviews

Mine was doing the same thing and I just pressed and held down the heated dry button until the light went off. Then I was able to start my machine as usual. Hope this works for you.

Blinking Clean and Rinse lights on Maytag PD8460AWN
My Maytag PDB4600AWN quit working with a flashing CLEAN light and RINSE only button. I took off the bottom panel and took out the electrical diagram.

I ran the diag test, tried pulling power, and a series of other ideas just to see if the error always pointed to the same thing and it did. It's the motor pump. My Maytag is 10 years old. Not sure what yhe life span of such things are. My Mom had a Kenore dishwasher that ran 17 years. Don't think that happens anymore. I bought my Maytag laundry washer and dryer at the same time as my dishwasher and they have trouble now also. Guess those TV commercials were a little on the iffy side of truth. Hee heeeeeeeeeeeee. :)

I think I'll just buy a new dishwasher. The repair guys bill will be high enough that I may as well
buy a new dishwasher.

Maytag quiet series 300
Maytag Quiet Series 300. The lights flash in sequence starting from the outside traveling inward. The timer counts backwards from 50 to 1. Then the sequence starts over. and continues over and over. I'm able to clear it when the time reaches 1 or 2. It stays off for a while (3-4 hours) then starts over. I can not clear the countdown until it reaches 1 or 2. After I clear it the dishwasher will work, but until then, no way. This happens with the door open or closed.

All the lights are flashing on Maytag Quiet Series 300
Try pressing heated wash, heated dry, then heated wash, heated dry. It should reset it. Also try pressing and holding the cancel button for 5 seconds to see if that works if the other doesnt.

Sounds like you have a control panel and/or control board issue. Normally when operator functions fail or "halfway" work the main control board, associated keypad, or wiring are the likely suspect. Now...another remote possibility could be the door latch not closing properly. However, this would affect ALL functions. I hope this helps you.
