Question about Yamaha Rx-v365 A/V Home Theater Receiver
This Yamaha amp will not route component video to an HDMI output. You need to also connect the amp to your TV using component cables (And switch inputs on your TV at the same time as you switch inputs on your amp) The purchase of a cheap DVD player with HDMI out would be my recommendation, as they are very cheap nowadays

Make sure that the DVD player is connected into the correct inputs on the receiver and that the receiver also has the correct input selected to play. If your TV also has component video inputs it is best to connect the player directly to the TV. Otherwise, make sure you have the TV connected to the receiver via component video out.
