Windows 7 and Mathcad 14 compatibility

What version of windows do you have?? It only runs on windows 2000 and windows xp. If you are on windows vista or windows 7 try..
Right click the shortcut for the game.
Then select properties.
Click the compatibility tab.
Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box.
Select windows xp.
Click the "OK" button.
Try running it again.

Try installing it while using compatibility mode with windows xp or vista.
Then if your going to run it, try running it through compatibility mode in windows xp or vista also.
To access compatibility:
1. Right click the icon of the desired application 2. Choose properties 3. Choose compatibility tab 4. Then check the option, run this option in compatible mode 5. Choose the operating system you want it to run in as 6. Choose okay 7. Open application

I think the best option for you is to Upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 14 which is $0, or Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate, which costs $70. An upgrade is cheaper than buying the entire version which will cost you about $130. The upgrade will work with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2), Windows XP (SP3).

On the other hand, if a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues, you can right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. This will make it run as if it was running in Windows XP. Avid Liquid 7 is an video editing and authoring software created by Pinnacle Systems.Though they have mentioned support for only Windows XP, it is possible to use Avid Liquid 7 on Windows Vista and Windows 7. Tip is very simple. You just need to run it under compatibility mode. To do this

• Right Chick on Avid Liquid 7 Shortcut
• Open file location
• Right Click on exe file
• Properties
• Click compatibility tab
• Tick mark 'Run this program in compatibility mode' and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
• Apply and run the software.

Run it in the compatibility mode. Right-click on the executable, choose "properties", then the "Compatibility" tab. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for". Choose the latest version of Windows the program ran on, check the screen setting that applies for your application and click "OK". Now you can start the application!

My guess is that the engineers at PTC haven't figured out how make their products compatible with Windows 7! I painfully found that MathCad 14, 13, 11 do not work on Windows 7 (I have Windows 7 Pro)! They install, but the application can't even start! However, MathCad 2000 does work on this outstanding platform; I was amazed! You could use that version in the meantime, hoping that PTC will solve this problem soon! Or install Mathcad 14 on the virtual PC that works in XP mode.
