As far as parts go, you could call Delta at 1-800-377-3777 with you model information (found on bottom of crib) and they should have most replacement parts.

You dont have to trash the crib. Delta will send you a part that makes the drop side a stationary side. It is free. Here is the site to file for your free replacement parts. http://www.cribrecallcenter.com/

What is wrong with the stabilizer bars that came with the crib? If they broke or fell apart, you should report that to the CPSC as it could be a safety issue.
