My 32" Sony Bravia has a horizontal line straight through the middle of the tv. Half the screen is yellowish-green for about 20-30 minutes when turned on. Then it goes away, but the thin line stays.
The LCD Panel must be replaced to fix both problems. The cost in doing this would exceed the value of the set. I recommend not putting the money into it.

the ribbon flat connection tapes that connect the led panel driver to the panel have prob delaminated
this cant be repaired easily and you would need to replace the panel
Check for loose contacts in power outlet, RC cable, jack and socket. In order to ensure, it is not caused by the input device, connect a DVD player and see.
hi ; there's a problem in screen driver of your LCD, if you lost your receipt,that's bad luck. if you know how to disassemble the back case of the TV , you can try some RESETTING of connectors from LCD screen driver to display driver board its only 50% chance to remove the line. thanks.....
Hi, I'm sorry, it sounds problem with lcd panel (screen) that is defective and causing lower half distorted image. If tv is under warranty then call number written on warranty documents for warranty cover or lcd panel (screen) replacement would cost you approx 80% of new tv price. Hope these info will help you. It sounds lcd screen problem and lcd panel (screen) will be replaced. Please check with local tv repair shop or nearest Sony service center for lcd screen replacement.
Thats a pixel data problem, there's no data being sent to that row of pixels so they don't change color. This is a pixel address registry (PAR) issue and the PAR circuits need to be serviced its usually due to open or shorted SMT components on the PAR circuits. PAR also sends data, voltage, and control to each pixel, the green line you see are pixels that have voltage but because there's no data sent too them their all green because there's no control. If the pixels have voltage but no data or control they show up as green red, blue, yellow, or whit line vertically down the LCD panel. The vertical-horizontal section of PAR are controlled by 16 to 32 bit micro-controllers which may need replacing. If its under warranty take it back if not have your local repair center fix the tv for you...
I would look for a Vertical circuit failure. Most likely is the vertical output IC and or open resistor off the hv transformer. Definitely look for any loose solder connections around the Vertical output IC.

Both sound like bad LCD panels. The following must be answered to confirm this: Do the lines appear on all inputs/all signal sources? Can they be seen in the OSD/menu? If yes to both questions, it is likely that the LCD panel is bad
