VGA MODE NOT SUPPORTED, usually will meanthat the resolution your laptop was sending to the monitor wasnt supported.
this can be fixed with it plugged in and using the laptop display. you shoudl be able to chenge display properties and apply a different resolution to each screen.
system not fully installed is an interesting one. does it do this all teh time when you reboot now? with or without the monitor connected?
OK, start it without the tv plugged in. so that it boots properly, then plug in your tv, then right click on your desktop and depending on which video card you have, go to your display properties and
enable the second display, you can then select the correct resolution that your tv will support so that it will not display the unsupported format message. if you cant figure it out. let me know what brand of video card you have (ati or nvidia) and ill see what i can do about giving more detailed instructions.

it's not a laptop it's a PC. Occasionally I will see a message that says: Splashtop Planner is not fully installed. Of course TigerDirect.com, the place I purchased the PC from, didnt give me any instructions as to how to set this thing up with my tv. That's my whole problem: I've connected the tv to the PC with brand new VGA cord. I power on the PC. The ACER sign comes on and it gives me the options F12 or DEL to go to the Boot Menu. I wait. The Windows XP sign comes up. The screen goes black. And the message on my tv reads: 'VGA mode not supported'. So I turn it off because I can't restart it from the Desktop because the computer won't let me get that far...yet. When it restarts I hit f8 and go to a menu that allows me to Enable VGA Mode. The PC restarts. It gets to the desktop. No icons load. Instead, a windows message pops up saying: 'The system is not fully installed. Please run set up again.'
