How to remove clutch on dyson dc07

This service is hard to explain. Try googling it so you watch a video of how it is done. You can purchase belts and rebuild the clutch with the new belts or you can purchase a new clutch with belts already installed

Broken belt

DC07s have two belts - one connects the output of the motor to the clutch, the other connects the clutch to the brush bar.
I suspect the belt you are to refering to is the one from the clutch to the brush bar. Unfortuenately the other belt is hidden under a plastic cover, so you cant see if it is okay or not without some dismantling. This cover is not easy to remove and requires a Torx driver to under the securing screws.
If, after removing the cover, the other belt is okay, then you have a faulty clutch. New clutches are available on eBay2_bing.gif reasonably cheaply, but again good tools and DIY skills are required.
Have a look at www.dysonmedic.com which has some excellent info on dismantling and repairing your machine, but unless you have access to such tools, and feel confident to tackle it, it's probably time tocall Dyson or a Vacuum repairer.

Dyson DC07 main filter can it be removed to clean?

Yes, remove the dust bin and set it aside. Using a small screw driver gently pry on the lid that the dust bin sits on. you'll see little holes to insert a screw driver and pry back on the lid. Start on one side and pry at the three points to insert a screw driver and then remove the lid and replace the HEPA filter with a new one from EBay, local vacuum store, Dyson direct, etc. That filter is not washable.

How do you remove the electrical cord for a dyson

How do I replace the cord on my Dyson DC07 Animal vacuum?

To replace the cord, remove the screw on the front plate just above the on off switch. This is held on with tabs, so carefully use a butter knife or screwdriver to pry the plate off. Once the plate is off, remove the slide in tabe from the white plastic protectors and remove them. Slide the tabs of the new cord into the protectors and then push the protectors back on the vacuum tabs. Replace the plate and screw. NOTE: I did test the vacuum to make sure it would turn on before replacing the plate and screws.

GOOD LUCK! Sheila

Beater bar will not engage. belt ok, cannot find a clutch, what else?

One possible problem could be a worn clutch. I just had the same problem. Before buying a new clutch assembly, I took the out the clutch just to make sure I could do it (the link previously mentioned is great: http://www.dysonmedic.com/DC07%20Folder/DC07%20Clutch%20replacement.html). In the process, I also opened the clutch at the wide end (two screws and a little retaining clip on the side - can watch a video as to how to disassemble the clutch here: http://www.ezvacuum.com/dyson-dc04-dc07-and-dc14-belt-pack-for-clutch-system-90251401-2-pack-p-2196.html?currency=USD). In the "lid" you will see a little black plate (looks like the same material that a car breakpad is made out of). If the clutch is the problem this plate will look a little worn down. It can be removed and flipped over. You'll get a few more years out of it. Of course, when the second side wears out, you'll have to get a new clutch (but by then maybe the the entire vac will need replacing anyway). Saved myself $40. Enjoy.

Broken belt

Hi.

If you cant easily see how to replace the Belt then I think your Dc07 has A clutch unit.

This type of Dc07 has 2 belts one from motor to clutch & the second belt goes clutch to brush roller.

You will need to remove the clutch unit completey from the machine in order to replace the belts, Its alot to explain so try this site it has service manuals covering this.

Dyson DC07

Hi.

Depending on wether your machine has A clutch fitted will decide how easy this job will be.

The non clutched model is very simple turn the 3 plastic screws on sole plate to unlock position lift plate off remove belt from motor shaft & lift out brush roller.
Replace belt & roller fit sole plate & its done.

The clutched version will require the removing of the sole pate,
Then remove brush roller. & brush roller housing.
Then remove clutch cover,
Replace both belts & reassemble.

Its A lot to explain in great detail so try this site if your struggling.
