If you looking for POP3 SMTP Mail Servers then it would be
AT&T WorldNet incoming mail server: postoffice.worldnet.att.net
AT&T WorldNet outgoing mail server: mailhost.worldnet.att.net
or
incoming mail (POP3) -> ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net

Just for POP, I think should be somethinnd like
[email protected]
or
pop.att.yahoo.com

Incoming Mail Server (POP3):
Host Name: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net:995
User Name: [email protected]

Good luck

How I configure my outlook 2007 with rediffmail

Hi,

Try the below steps

Set up POP 3 for Outlook Express
Outlook Express allows you to add a new email account to your existing profile. This means you do not have to replace your current settings in order to send and receive Rediffmail messages.

* Choose 'Accounts' > 'Mail' > 'Add' > 'Mail
* In the 'Display Name', type your name and click 'Next'.
* In the Email ID box, type your Rediffmail ID.
* Select "POP3" to answer the question "My incoming mail server is a..."
* In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server box, type "pop.rediffmail.com"
* In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type "smtp.rediffmail.com"
* Click "Next."
* In the Account Name box, type your Rediffmail ID
* In the Password box, type your Rediffmail Password.
* If you want Outlook Express to remember your password, check the "Remember password" box.
* Do not check the boxes labelled "Log on using Secure..."
* Click "Next."
* Click "Finish."

Thanks

I just switched to u-verse and have set up an e-mail account using the email adress they gave me. This uses yahoo. That is working ok. However, since I don't like getting my email that way I decided to...

if you can get emails and cannot send one it means that the outgoing SMTP numbers that you put in in your Outlook is incorrect. The best way to resolve this is to ask U-verse for the right SMTP URL for that is the one that is keeping you to send an email.

I have ATT UVerse internet and now I can't use Outlook Express. How do I fix this?

Here are the instructions on how to fix your issue.

http://www.ehow.com/how_6075140_configure-outlook-express-at_amp_t-uverse.html

Open Microsoft Outlook Express and click the "Tools" menu item. Select "Accounts" from the list of menu items. In the window that opens, click the "Add" button and select "Mail." This starts the mail configuration wizard that helps step you through the process.

Enter your full name in the first text box. This is the name displayed when users receive your email. In the next text box, enter your AT&T Uverse email address. Click the "Next" button.Select "POP3" from the incoming mail protocol drop-down box. Enter "pop.att.yahoo.com" in the text box labeled "Incoming Mail Server." In the outgoing mail server text box, enter "smtp.att.yahoo.com." Click the "Next" button.

Enter your AT&T Uverse login name and password. Check the box labeled "Remember Password." Click the "Next" button again.

Click the "Finish" button at the summary screen. The mail creation wizard closes. Click the "Send and Receive" button to retrieve any current emails in your Uverse account.

How to set new e-mail address for my outlook express default

Setting up new email accounts in Outlook Express - 10 Steps Without further ado, let us look at the steps which we need to follow for setting up an email account in Outlook Express.
Note: When you open Outlook Express for the first time, you might be asked if you want to set it as a default email client on your system. Make sure you answer in the affirmative.
  1. Start Outlook Express. Click on Tools in the menu bar and then go to Accounts
    outlook_express_new_account_setup1.gif
  2. This brings up the Internet Accounts pop-up window. Click on the Mail tab, to bring it to the front if it is not already so. If you are starting Outlook Express for the first time, there would not be any email accounts listed on this window.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup2.gif
  3. To add a new mail account, click on the Add button and then on Mail as shown in the image below.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup3.gif
  4. This brings up the Internet Connection Wizard pop-up window. Enter your name in the Display Name field and click on the Next button.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup4.gif
  5. The wizard now asks for your email address. Enter the full email address and click on the Next button.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup5.gif
  6. In the next window, you need to feed in three important bits of information - the incoming and outgoing email servers and the type of the incoming email server.
    It is likely that the incoming email server is POP3. The incoming and outgoing email servers can be yourdomain.com, mail.yourdomain.com or any other value depending on how the email server has been configured.
    If you are a beginner, you might not know what the incoming and outgoing servers mean. It is not important at this stage to know the meaning; you simply need to know their values. Call up your I.S.P. and ask them to provide the information.
    I know that the email accounts at my domain www.BiotechDesk.com are all POP3. Additionally, the incoming and outgoing email servers are the same - biotechdesk.com.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup6.gif
  7. The last information that you need to enter to complete the setup of the new account is the username and password for that email account. These login details would have been given to you by your ISP or you would have set these online using a control panel.
    After completing the fields for Account Name and Password, click on the Next button.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup7.gif
  8. In the following window, click on the Finish button to complete the process of setting up a new email account in Outlook Express.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup8.gif
  9. You will now see the new email account has been added to the Accounts list. The account is referred by its server name.
    outlook_express_new_account_setup9.gif
  10. To compose a new email click on the Create Mail button or click on Messages - New Message. This opens a blank email for you. Enter the senders email address, subject and the matter.
    When you have composed your email, click on the File - Send Message. The email will be sent and a copy stored in the Sent Items folder.
You can create several email accounts in Outlook Express. So if you have 6 email accounts on your web site, you can set up all these.
As I mentioned in point #9 (above), Outlook Express will refer to an email account by its server name. So if you have several email accounts on your domain, they would be referred to as yourdomain.com(1), yourdomain.com(2) etc. (or something similar). To make this more user friendly, Outlook Express gives you the option of changing these values.
Open the Internet Accounts pop-up once again by clicking on Tools and then Accounts. Make sure the Mail tab is in the front. Double-click on the account name. This brings up the Properties window of that account. Enter any descriptive name in the first field, as shown in the image below.

When I tried to send email from Outlook, the Internet Service Provider replied -ERR [AUTH] invalid user/password. How can I correct this error?? My ISP is att.net. I have not found a solution on that...

This means that your user/password combination is wrong for that email server. So double check that you have the right password and user name entered for that account in Outlook. If you're 100% sure you have it right, then you might be using the wrong email/authentication server. If you continue to have problems and are located near Washington DC, feel free to contact me through my website.

I have the following (and complete) list of settings on my Jet for my hotmail account and it is receiving and sending emails correctly. (After seeing 6 posts and none with a full solution, something needs to be done .. RAGE!!)
Account name - "random name" SMTP sever - smtp.live.com SMTP port - 25 Secure Connection - TLS Incoming Server Type - POP3 POP3 Server - pop3.live.com POP3 port - 995 APOP login - unchecked Secure connection - SSL Download limit - 50 IMAP4 incoming email - New (faded out tho) Retrieving option - Subject only Keep on server - checked My address - [email protected] User name - [email protected] Password - **my hotmail acc password** POP before SMTP - unchecked SMTP auth. - checked Same as POP3/IMAP4 - unchecked User name - [email protected] Password - **my hotmail acc password**
Some tech info to help problem solve. POP3 is the technology involved with receiving email, SMTP is involved with sending. (Lots of people saying they could receive but not send, but their SMTP settings weren't correct)

I switched to att.net for incredimail and am unable to send e-mai

If you are using windows mail you need to modify you account settings for the new mail server. You need to know your user name and password for your account. You will also need the Incoming Mail(POP3) and Outgoing Mail(SMTP) and if the server requires authentication. You will get this information from AT&T. Once you obtain this info you can modify the current account or add a new one using under the tools tab then accounts.
