Oven electric our frigidaire oven will not come on, no lights on front, nothing makes it work, have checked breakers all are on, also checked GFI it is on,

Nothing Works, or the Oven / Range / Stovetop Works Only At Certain Times:

1.Home breaker flipped or the fuse blown?Possibly an electrical surge has flipped the breaker. Check your breaker or fuse box and replace or reset as necessary.
2.Power cord plugged in?Grab the plug and wiggle to determine a good connection.
3.Power cord damage?Damaged rubber with wires showing through or the wire is being pinched can cause issues. Electrical tape is acceptable for covering damaged wires.
4.Aclicking sound could be something wrong with a relay. Check for any loose connections around the main control board on your oven. The click you hear is a relay losing power and switching back on. If the clock resets then something is causing power interruptions to the board.

Did you reset the house circuit breaker that supplies power to the oven?

You have a bad EOC electronic oven control unit, They are readily available from any parts house. They do not have instruction but are not difficult as it is just a few screws and swap out wire for wire. It may be a good idea to buy it from a vendor that allows returns of electrical items. Check to make sure that the circuit breaker/gfi is not flipped for the oven. Push the switch all the way to off and then on again. If the power goes off again, this indicates a short, which is very dangerous.

If you already checked this and the power does not come on, make sure the breaker is set to off and pull the oven and check the cord and plug for any sign of fraying, loose wires, blacked areas, etc.

Since this is 240v, I would not recommend going beyond these basic instructions. If you feel confident to remove the panel to run some electrical tests, please post comments and we will help you do that.

The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

If the burners and oven light are working, then you have power coming in. It's most likely a defective EOC. If you haven't tried turning off the circuit breaker for 5-10 mins to reset any glitch associated with a surge or spike, do so. If this doesn't reset the control, the EOC will need to be replaced.

I have an electric oven that is turning on but not heating up. The oven, broiler, & stove top are not heating up. Any easy solutions to this?
