LEXMARK X5270 I ALREADY INSERTED THE INK CARTRIDGE BUT A MESSAGE SAYING THAT THE RIGHT INK CARTRIDGE IS INCORRECT AND IT FITS GOOD AND EVERYTHING AND I TOOK OF THE TAPE BUT THE SAME MESSAGE KEEPS ON POPING UP AND I CAN'T PRINK ANTHING!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

    I am having the same problem. I did get the color cartdrige "refilled" so does that have anything to do with it?

    I have the black cartridge in but it is saying "left cartridge incorrect."

    I had both cartridges refilled and now I rec'v the 'right cartridge incorrect' error msg. I went back to Office Max where I had purchased the refills and bougt 2 new (refilled though) cartridges. I installed the new cartridges and the printer worked fine FOR A FEW DAYS. Now, all of the sudden, my printer is printing blank pages- just like what it was doing when the problem initially occurred. Not sure what's going on. I tried reinstalling the printer and driver but no help.

    lexmark x5270 printer indicating the left, black, cartridge is loaded incorrectly.

Just tried installing a new photo31 ink cartridge and I am getting right cartridge incorrect message.
If you are using a photo cartridge, in your case the #31 cartridge, insert that in the left carrier where the black cartridge is. Make sure your color cartridge is inserted in the right carrier to continue printing.

Printer problem
you would first have to to a clean and test run on the printer. If the printer came with cleaning pads clean the cartridge where the ink comes out. put the pad on a table and wipe across the cartridge

MESSAGE SAYS RIGHT CARTRIDGE INCORRECT
Hello there:
what this is refering to is that the cartridge is either not the right one for the printer or the device is having a problem with that cartridge i would remove the cartridge and verify that it is the right one that goes in their and also since youare having the cartridge out i would clean out the contact area to get rid of the old ink that may be sitting on the contact areas ok

I have a Lexmark x5470 & I get an error unsupported cartridge
Ink cartriges have chips in them, if the printer does so many prints without getting the "I've had a new Original Cart fitted" it will stop untill,you give it one, regardless if there ink or not

Im afraid it doesn't care that you only need to use the colour cartridge, it is designed to cost you money and make money for lexmark not refillers.

Welcome to our modern world, manufactures make the ink hard to recycle by incorperation of expensive chips that makes refillers, unable to make a easy dollar, because if that want to make cartridges that work they must also fit the expensive chip.

All empty cartridges have a little ink left in them because getting air in ink lines is not a thing we want.

Installed a new Lexmark ink cart and got an incorrect message
take out the cartridge , turn off your printer and take out all the cables behind your printer and wait for 5 minutes and put everything back in.. if the same error shows.. im sorry but your printer needs to be replaced.

Refilled cartridge , printer says right cartridge incorrect
Lexmark builds intelligence into their cartridges and printers to prevent the use of refilled cartridges.

Lexmark has never approved the use of anyone else's ink for their printers primarily because there is no way to prove the quality of the ink.

Please purchase a Lexmark cartridge.

Lexmark x5490 Right /left cartridge incorrect
If you brought new cartridges and printer detecting it empty ,then you get it
replaced as the Lexmark cartridges comes with a 6 months warranty ..

Lexmark 4530 right cartridge incorrect message. unplugged unit, cleaned cartridge nothing works.
The compatible cartridges for the X4530 Lexmark printer are the # 23,23A,24,24A,31,34,35. If you have the correct cartridge number and still says cartridge incorrect, try this steps.
1. Get a damp and a dry paper towel.
2. Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are against the towel and hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds. ( try this for around 5 times )
3. Now wipe the print head (on the bottom where the ink comes out) across in one direction only (left to right) until it looks clean. ( try this around 5 times )
4. Next dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure that the ink is flowing.
5. Remove the power adaprtor behind the printer.
6. Using the dry paper towel, clean the metal contacts on the cartridge carrier inside the printer. ( try this 5 times )
7. Place the Cartridge back to the printer, connect the power adaptor.
8. Check if there is any error message. If same problem persist, try to contact Lexmark Technical Support.
