Can't play video I filmed on my computer

I have managed to make a video with the camera and can play it back on the camera. I tried to connect it to the computer (Vista OS) via the supplied USB cable and then a card reader when that didn't work. It will not open the file, saying that there is no video. Yet the file size is displayed. It seems to want to open in Windows Media Center. Help please

I don't think your media player can play the camcorder video. You may need to get a new video player software to try to play the video. Or you can check what format your video player can support and use a video converter to change the format, such as Leawo Video Converter.

The camera records video in MP4 format that is not natively supported by Vista; you will need to install an alternative player to play these files. Probably best solution is the open source VLC player. If you'd rather stick to a brand name, Apple Quicktime or WinAmp would be the ones to try.

I have just taken shot some video footage with my OLYMPUS FE-320/Xbut when I play it back on my computer there is NO SOUND RECORDING just a "hissing/background" noise? Is it my camera or is it me?

To isolate the problem, you should try to play the video on the camera. If the sound is heard from the cameras speaker, you have to assume the film does have sound. So when you try to play it on the computer, and you don't hear a thing, a bad driver or a bad sound card or just a problem with the playback software could be the cause of this.

Video shot with nikon one onto card will not play on computer

To play all the different media files cameras can make your computer needs software.
If you have installed Nikon ViewNX(2) on your PC, that program should be able to play the Nikon video format. You also can use that software to import the Photos and Videos from the camera to the computer.

HOW TO TRANSFER FILM ON CAMERA TO COMPUTER?

Some cameras have a USB cable and can stream. Others will require a capture card. Either way, you'll also need a capture program to record it.

When I upload from video canera to Pc my videos only play the sound and not the film.Could you tell me how I can fix this please??

1) What program opens when you connect the camera to the computer?

2) To fix this: Go to my computer, then right click on the "Removable Disk (E:/) drive under "devices with removal storage". There is a list of options that will come up. Select "Autoplay" and then select the program you want to run the film AND the sound when you connect your video camera to your PC.

Can not import film to PC.

I have a partial solution for those whose files come up as audio. connect your camera via USB. Windows Movie Player should recognize the camera when you select capture device. When you have your camera selected hit next. Put the file in My Video and title it. When you are ready too capture video Hit play on you camera while in the review screen. The Movie Maker will then capture your video as it plays in the camera.
