Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.
Its a TAB bond Problem with the LCD. You can take apart the TV and install a rubber Bumper to put pressure on the TAB. TAB bonds always get worse... I dont know how long it will solve the issue... but u can get a little more life out of it.
Rember when working with the TV the voltages can kill!!

I have the same TV...same problem...common problem...unless u ask Sony.
I recommend that all big screens get turned off when not in use for 10 minutes. Some sets have screen savers, some don't. Also, when plugged in and turned on they are susceptible to power spikes, another reason to turn it off.
