Firstly windows has an account called "administrator" which doesn't normally show up on the welcome screen but you can get to it either by booting in safe mode (it does show up on the welcome screen when in safe mode) or by pressing ctrl+alt+del at the welcome screen to get an old fassioned login dialog. Often this account will have no password on it.
If the administrator account is locked out or has a password on it then there is a third party password reset and account unlocking tool available from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com
I know a simple way to reset windows password to blank when you forgot windows administrator password,it need not to reinstall windows OS,and wont loss any data,by using "Any Windows Password Recovery 3.0 ". Maybe this could help you.
Open in safe mode. Log on as adminstrator (no password by default) Go to user accounts and remove password.
Close out any software currently running on your Toshiba Satellite L305 laptop.
Navigate to the laptop's "Start" menu and choose "Shut Down."
Hold down the laptop's "0" key and press the power button.
Keep the key held down during the boot up process until the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" window loads on the screen.
Click the check box labeled "Recovery of Factory Default Software." Choose the "Next" option.
Choose the "Recover to out-of-box state" radio button. Select the "Next" button and click "Next" again.
Wait for the "Press any key" prompt to appear and tap a key to restart the laptop.
Use the prompts that appear on the screen to choose your region, time zone and keyboard settings.
Type your new Windows user name and password in the text boxes when prompted. Click "Finish" to load the new operating system.
hope this helps
