I have a technics SU-CH7 mini hifi. There is now

I have a Technics SU-CH7 mini hifi. There is no sound coming from the unit, even headphones. In standby it has an 'E' flashing on the radio message unit. This 'E' still flashes when the unit is switched on. The speakers are wired correctly, they are bi-wired. Definately not shorting and wires a clearly in contact with the connectors. I suspect someone has shorted or something and the 'E' is an error or fault code. All other components and controls seem to be working normally, and the remote is present. Any ideas what I need to do to fix?
Regards,
Peter

The E is flashing because the clock needs setting. Press the Clock Set button and Day will flash. Use arrow keys to alter it. Press Clock Set button again and adjust hours. Then press it again and set minutes.

Technics separates issue?

That sounds suspiciously like an issue with speaker connections rather than amp output!

There are manuals and specs here including a Service Manual

This will have the service manual. If you are not experienced in this type of repair, it will probably be far less expensive to take it to a repair shop.

Technics SU-G95 Amplifier and no sound on left speakers

Usually this is a defect in the output amp IC. If you have no experience with repairs of these types of units, have it checked by a service shop. If the output AMP IChas failed, it will cost about $75 for a replacement. This unit uses an RSN3306P IC .

Technics su-v98. Powers on but no sound can be heard, not even through the headphones jack.

Make sure it is not on mute. Check rear of receiver to make sure AUDIO IN has not become disconnected. Check input selector and verify that it matches the audio source.
