hi thanx for reply, it seems to do everything except wash, it looks like it go's through the drying cycle because its very steamy when its finished its cycle, and when it starts, you can hear the pump drsining the water and then the filling starts, and thats it, the timer unit moves around as usual through the cycle, then it drains and fills again, and the timer continues through the rest of its cycle, but with no washing,,,,

    thanx

The dishwasher should heat the water to about 55 C as the heating cycle starts. In these cycle, the dishwasher pauses after has filled with water and wait for the water to reach the temperature. If the water isn't being heated (because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues.
Another possible reason is that the timer unit is defective. If you have observed anything different post a comment.

If you have lost your user manual, it can be downloaded from this link and follow given operating sequence: http://www.usersmanualguide.com/zanussi/...

Its important to ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely (not truncated by dishes or something else when you load dishwasher)

Dishwasher does not fill

Hi,
Double check that your water supply line is not kinked.
This sounds like a bad fill valve. If you have hard water and most everyone does after a few years the valve will quit working properly and will fail in one of 2 ways a slow or no fill or it will not shut off completely.
I hope this helps if I can help with anything else please let me know.

Hi there I have a Zanussi zdf121 dishwasher which is only doing a cold wash, not heating at all. Not sure if its hot fill but the hot water is fine elsewhere. Any ideas please Pete

Do you have it hooked up to hot or cold water supply? Most residential dishwashers don't come equipped with a booster heater. If it's connected to the cold side, you'll have to replace the angle stop with a single outlet stop and replace the hot angle stop with a double outlet stop. This should help out, if not, make sure you have hot water in the faucet before starting the dishwasher. Most dishwashers need at least 120 degree hot water supply.

Tablets not dissolving

Sounds like whatever soap you are using is just too much soap your dishwsher can handle. The soap "packs" are usulally an overload of soap for most dishwashers. Just a few teaspoons of regular name brand soap sometimes will cure lots of dishwsher ills!!!

Dishwasher

in some cases it is the water metering tank on the left hand side that gets bunged up and needs cleaning, next is the water feeding pipes. if everything is clean and the water valve supply is ok then it will need a special mod kit to be fitted, which will need to be fitted by a pro. tony.
