Panasonic CT-27L8SG displays gray screen and white hoizontal line

I have a Panasonic CT-27L8SG. When I turn it on, the picture is fine for about 1 minute. Then the screen becomes gray with white horizontal lines. For the next 10 minutes or so, the picture switches between normal and the gray screen. After about 10 minutes, the picture becomes normal again and stays normal. Can this be fixed or do i need a new TV. Please help. Thanks.

Is it still under warranty?
If not I would find a good TV Service Shop and have them check out the power supply as there more than likely a 'Capacitor' much like a battery that is going bad.

I have a panasonic color tv. Model # CT-27L8SG, sept 2003. Recently , when I turn it in it says Video 1 but not sound or picture.

Do you have anything plugged into your video 1 input? If so, is there a signal reaching your set's input? Try other inputs and see what happens.
