Press and hold set and then press TV. Press the volume up several times (each time the code number increases by one) until the volume on your TV changes.Press set again and it should work. This works for RM-88E at least.

Its simple to rectify problems with the chunghop universal remote using the codes and if your brand name is not listed then your new remote can learn from the individual remotes for each item ie TV, DVD VCR etc. This will only work if you still have the old one and your new remote is a learing one.
On the new remote select the appliance eg TV, VCR etc. Push the set button until the word 'CODE' appears, then using the arrow keys select the word 'LEARN' , press 'OK' Point new remote at old remote (facing each other front on) press the 'Power' key on new remote and the words 'IR IN' will appear on LCD screen, then while still pointing the old and new remotes at each other press the 'Power or On/off' switch of your old remote and the word 'OK' should appear on new remote LCD screen. then press the 'set' button on new remote. This should complete the action and you should be able to use the power button on the new remote to switch off or on your TV. You will need to repeat this sequence for each function on the new remote ie. volume, channel selection etc. A bit long winded but it works.
