Hi, if you could send me more information about this unit, I am sure that I will be able to tell you how to wire it. Transformers are fairly easy to wire. If I know the voltage you have and, the voltage you want, then tell me about this transformer. I need to no the power coming into it such as 120volts in and you want to step it down to 24volts? Or, 220, 240, 277, and so forth in, then tell me the voltage out that you need to connect to like maybe 120 out? Also, please tell me after this transformer is wired in with the correct voltage in, and what that voltage is, tell me the voltage out and what you are going to control. We can solve this if you tell me these things I have asked you. Thank you, I will be waiting.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

I have a blodgett zephaire gl oven. unit kept buring up 24v transformer, was old bad centrifical switch in motor. I replaced motor with brand new one, unit still buring up 24v transformer.....why ?

A short somewhere causing it to overamp. Put a 3amp inline fuse on the secondary side (24v side) on the hot wire. This will save the transformer and blow the fuse not the transformer. The centrifugal switch prolly wasn't bad. So I would trace the wire coming off transformer and look for bare wire or loose wires. Anything that would cause a short

What are the possible sources of the following problem? Our convection oven works fine when it's turned on in the morning. However, when you open the doors for too long, the fan needs a manual push

The oven is designed to turn off the fan if the door is left open too long. I think it is a protection to avoid injury to the user due to heat circulation. It might be best to turn down the heat setting when opening the oven for long periods whilst the cooking is on. If you want the manual it can be downloaded from this site. see page 23.

I have a Blodgette/Zephaire Convection Oven. I need a part# for a conversion kit from nat gas to propane. Model# Zephaire-G-L.

I went online to the Blodgette Company. I went to service request and asked the same question. I recieved an answer via e-mail, the items and part numbers need. I then contacted a local distributor for the items needed.

Have a zephaire GL when you first turn on the

"sparks pilot lights" , "reset button comes on" can you be more specific on these terms you used? I know this posting is an old posting, but I maybe be able to help you as I have fixed all the problems (multiple with 6 G-L's zephaire. Here I'll try to "assume" your terms. The g-l has one light at the front panel. If you mean it comes on and off (the light that is), this is the due to continuous try ignition module, not reading the "flame sensor input right", assuming there is no flame at the pilot. This might be caused by a mulfunction of the ignition module, or by a bad "flame sensor wire" or sensor. See if the pilot spark / flame comes on when you turn the oven on. See if the white wire coming out of it is good and not chewed by rats or something. If the ingition control (the blue box) is reading flame sensor input right, it will light the main burners, (red wire on the valve) if I recall correctly. The ignition control works properly on max 150 F and the ventilation fan on top if it's not working should be replaced. They sell them on line, and also grainger has it for around $32. The o modules go for around $129 to 170. and sometimes you find them on ebay for around 50. Hope this helps.
