Sylvania LCD 32 inch TV set .... the picture now looks like a colored negative. What could be the cause of this? Even when a DVD is used ... still the same.

Google Allelectronics or Hosfelt Electronics for these caps
I just ordered these at a good price but ordered 35Volt instead.
Also replacing 3300uF caps too as they are bulged at top.
Hope this fixes it. Will let you know.

many of the dish remotes have a "scan" option. This is what the installers use. You'll ned to read the manual. Its a one page explanation.

Sounds like a bad power supply or a bad power control board/circuit board. This seems to be a bit common with these lcd's.

Picture tube is weak. You can add a booster the Picture tube. I would replace the set.

I have the problem with 20in Sylvania LCD model 6620LF4. First saw the problem after trying to hook up a karaoke machine.
The images appears to be a colored negative for both the internal TV and external DVD.
Raising the brightness setting of the TV decreases the brightness of the image and improves its clarity, with some washed-out areas becoming dark enough to reveal detail.
images of faces of Asian actors appear in shades of blue, suggesting where normally red > blue and green > blue, now red < blue and green < blue, i.e. a negative image.
