It sounds like your heating element is burned out. This would affect both burners. You can get a quote to have it repaired, but from experience I can tell you that it will be less expensive to replace the entire coffeemaker.

*Heating elements only have a certain "lifetime" (like lightbulbs). You might try not using it constantly if this is possible.

HZ-709 Oil Filled Radiator Heater wont turn off!!! Always on no matter what mode the switch/button is in. Lights off heater is always on wide open... So when its off, ITS ON... Help

When switched on power is supplied to the heating element until the temperature reaches that which the thermostat is adjusted to and then the thermostat switches off the power to the element.

Whether electro-mechanical or electronic the thermostat isn't doing the job and as it is a digital control electronic thermostat that seems dead, I guess that is the part that needs repair or replacement.

My hp pavillion dv7 keyboard lock lights keep flashing; at one point the computer didn't want to boot up; I finally got that up today after six months. But the cap lock and the number lock lights still...

those are POST code, error codes, you need to watch time and count them. report them.
leave the battery main out.
does it run ok now? yes/no.? main battery out?.
even new cheap batteries fail easy and hard and short out.
test it with no main battery. it can run on AC power for ever.

are you going to run the COIN cell RTC battery for 10 more years.
it wont make it..
this PC is 10 years old today (can be) so is RTC battery end of life. most fail in 5 to 7 years, says the pink bunny. (and is correct)
the manual shows how to replace it at the real HP Site,
fixya is not hp, not at all.

page 63 shows the way to the RTC

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01918142

if you power on the PC, and hammer the f10 key]
BIOS runs, its menus;
check the time and date here, if wrong the RTC battery is dead.

read page 3 how.

  • old PC have many points of failure (endless it seems)
  • does the fan run? is it packed in lint, as all are this old.?
  • causing it to overheat?
  • RTC coin cell bad.
  • main battery bad. (just leave it out until the PC runs right again)
  • power pack wires broken, or running real hot.
  • HDD going bad,
  • windows infected?, no OS stated but avoid XP.

HP caps lock POST blink code page is a horror of horrors
no 2008 listing, to name one flaw (2011 and newer sadly)

RCA rear projection hd tv 52inch comes on sometimes other time green light goes on then off and then flashes and tv does not come on

Hello,

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hope this will help in solving the product.....

I have an HP pavilion desktop computer, I always leave it on at all times, my son used it and he shut it off, now it will turn back on...IT seems like it's dead, except for a green light in the back..can...

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today, my name is damnor01. Welcome to Fixya!

The Green light on the rear is the ethernet/internet cable, try removing this and then power on.
Your computer as you mentioned is in a state that is known as a dead computer system.

What you need to do is reduce the number of variables by removing components, and trying to get the system to POST. Pass the Power On Self Test.
Don't be too quick to replace the power supply, unless you heard a fairly loud pop and the smell of sulfur.
The green light on the rear of the computer chassis indicates to us that the computer is getting some form of power so the power supply is not likely the fault here.
I have published some guides that will get you well on your way in solving this problem.

They are as below;
How to Remove the Side Panels of My Computer Chassis!!!

How do I reset my BIOS/CMOS to defaults?

My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

Yes your computer can be fixed and no your data will still be present on the hard drive. It seems to me to be a hardware fault.
Also try removing the side panel and letting the computer air for a while, 30min or so. Remember to clean the dust from the Processor Heat sink and the chassis as well.
You also want to go through the computer chassis and push in all the connections, 4pin CPU power, 24pin Mainboard power. Graphics card and of course the main power from the wall, check it is indeed on.

Thanking you kindly

We need to install a new rear heater hose on our van and are not sure how too do it

I've done this many times
You will need a tubing cutter
Screwdriver
I think a 7 or 8mm socket
hose clamps
the appropriate amount of heater hose
zip ties

cut the steel heater line at the front in a place you can get access to,leave yourself enough steel hose on the rear to allow you to put the heater hose on cut off the steel hose and discard, and use 2 hose clamps on either end do the same for the other heater hose, this way is cheap and easy and permanant.Be sure that when you run the heater hose keep it away from hot or moving parts, use the zip ties to fasten it along the way, this should take about a half hour or so depending on your skills and working conditions, remember to buy some antifreeze to top up the system because you are going to spill some, remember to clean any spills animals love it and it is deadly.

Akai LCD TV wont turn on

Hello davidshu,

The issue seems to be a power supply problem. The television has a switching power supply. This might be the problem. I would suggest getting it repaired at a television repair shop due to the possible complexity of the work that needs to be done.

Just went Dead!!

I'm just a guest, but my Zen has done that before. I actually had to leave it plugged to my computer for awhile (I'd like to say well over a week or two), and when I unplugged it and tried turning it on again, it turned on, but the battery was nearly dead. This has happened more than once to me, and it simply began working again after I left it sitting there for a long time. It seems that, when it blanks out like this, something is going wrong with the battery. Mine always seems dead when it finally works again.
I know that's not much help, but just leaving it there worked for me. Good luck.
