Mystery of the missing Start "Arrow Icon"

Hi, one other question for ya. I don't know what it's called. Let me try and describe it.
Click the Start Button - at the bottom next to the icon that says, Lock This Computer there is suppose to be a little Arrow (mine arrow missing) and when clicked on it opens a tab for - Restart, Sleep, Shutdown etc.
Question is, how do I get my arrow to reappear. It's been gone for 6 months. (I have to hover on a tiny spot for the tabs to appear so I can shutdown).

Try right clicking on it and select Properties. You may just need to check one of the boxes

Try clicking on the camera icon and then, there should be 2 arrow - type icon...which means...to switch from front to back.

see example below. This is seen when you click on the CAMERA icon... it;s on the top screen,

How do I check for missed calls on my samsung galaxy centura phone
just click on the "phone icon" or "Dial" icon n from there click on "call logs" and then from option button click on "view by" Then select your sim and then select "missed calls"
or
  1. In call logs the calls with a DIVERTED ARROW of RED color are the Missed calls.

Describe how to change printer to print only black from my computer. I am out of color ink and don't know how to change the settings from my computer.
Unfortunately, you need both ink cartridges to print with this printer.

you can print grayscale (black/white) by:

This for XP:

Start
Settings
Printers and faxes
Right click the printer icon an select printer preferences
Click the color tab and select grayscale


Windows 7:

Start
Devices and Printers
Right click the printer icon
Select printer preferences
Select features tab
Scroll down and add a dot to grayscale

Dell Inspiron 1420 dvd icon missing, what had happen
Try the following *Check weather required driver for your DVD drive is installed or not(in Windows 7 it automatically installs drivers) if yes.......try this.....
*If you are using Windows operating system Go to Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>select DVD/CD drivers>Right click on your name(Name appears after clicking arrow beside DVD/CD drivers option)Ridht click on your device name>Select enable

NO SOUND FROM COMPUTER
1) Next to the Time and date in Windows Operating system, click on the down arrow button in windows 7,ensure the Speaker Icon is there,
2) Left click PC mouse on the speaker icon to ensure that the volume of the speaker is not muted. Increase the volume bar gradually and test sound by playing sample video files in windows media player
3) If Speaker icon is missing reinstall sound drivers, and restart the PC to enable the sound
4) Call the direct PC manufacturer if suspected faulty hardware issues on sound devices

I write a dvd in night and see in morning that my cd/dvd drive is missing in my computers drive {laptop hp pavilion dv2500}
Hi. I think you could try updating the drivers2_bing.gif for your DVD drive or by deleting the upper and lower filters on the registry so that we could verify if this a hardware or software issue. follow this instruction on deleting the upper and lower filters on the registry:
  1. Click the Start button and click in the Start Search box2_bing.gif.
  2. Type regedit, and then press the <Enter> key.
    Note: The User Account Control window may appear. If so, click Continue. The Registry2_bing.gif Editor window appears.
  3. Click the arrow next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  4. Click the arrow next to SYSTEM.
  5. Click the arrow next to CurrentControlSet.
  6. Click the arrow next to Control.
  7. Click the arrow next to Class.
  8. Click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
  9. In the right-hand pane of the window, click UpperFilters.
  10. Click Edit on the menu bar.
  11. Click Delete. The Confirm Value Delete window appears.
  12. Click Yes.
  13. In the right-hand pane of the window, click LowerFilters.
  14. Click Edit on the menu bar.
  15. Click Delete. The Confirm Value Delete window appears.
  16. Click Yes.
  17. Click File, and then click Exit.
  18. Click the Start button.
  19. Click the arrow to the right of the lock icon.
  20. Select Restart.
If this doesnt fix the issue this might be a already a hardware issue, or also try replacing the cables for your DVD drive. Hope this Helps

Deleting a song off my i touch
-Open iTunes..
-Plug in your iPod 2 d comp..
-Go to d summary page n check d manually manage music n videos option..
-Now sync..
-After sync complete, under Devices 2 d left hand side u c ur ipod icon.. 2 its left u c a small arrow.. wen u click on dat u get a dropdown list sayin MUSIC VIDEOS etc..
-Click on MUSIC option u'l c list of music..
-Right click on d song which ya don need n delete..:)

It means that you have a missed phone call. Just go to the missed phone call list and then the icon will go away.

No sound on sony vaio desktop pcv rs 420

Click on the + sign next to -> Audio (Sound) 1 files

You will now see ->
Original-ADI SoundMAX Audio Device Driver, Version 5.12.1.3622 for the Microsoft Windows Operating System <- in blue.
There is a globe with a green arrow to the right of this. Click on this globe/arrow icon.

You will be taken to another window. There is a globe/arrow icon, once more. Click on it.
Now follow the instructions.
Should a Microsoft 'Squawk Box' pop-up, ignore it. "Warning. This software does not have a digital certificate ya-da, ya-da"

It's from Sony, and I assure you it's safe.
Click on Run, and in the next small window, click on Run again. If you have problems, I suggest you come back and post an additional comment. We'll get it straightened out.

I suggest the Windows update may not be a good thing. Windows has thousands of generic drivers.
The key word here is "Generic"
They are not THE drivers made by Sony for THIS laptop. I suggest using THE drivers.
