Hey, If its the ipod with home and power key, all what u have to do is to press the 2 buttons in the same time for 10 seconds and then realise the power key and keep holding the home key for another 5 seconds.
That will put your ipad into DFU mode or recovery mode.
Plug it to itunes, itunes will come up with a message saying that it detected your ipod in recovery mode, and it will give you the option to restore the sw and wipe the device completely.
Got to itunes, when the ipod shows up click on the ipod from the devices part and the icon will say restore, evryhting will be erased....if itunes makes you type in the passcode in order to read the ipod, take your ipod to the apple store or at&t.
wen turned off.. hold the power button and home button for about 30 seconds... It should give you the connect to itunes logo.. connect to itunes!! everything will be deleted but your ipod will not be disabled
plug in your iPod touch then close itune and hold the power and home button until the logo (apple) appears the let go of the power button but keep holding onto the home button until an itune sign appear then push restore on you itunes...........
Try turning off your ipod, holding the home button, and plugging it in, while still holding the home button, until a picture of the ipod cable appears pointing to the itunes symbol. this will reset you ipod, and you don't need the passcode to make it usable again.
