Oven shows F7 and continues to beep - GE Profile JGB900 Gas Kitchen Range

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

You have either a stuck button on the control pad or a bad ERC(clock).
Try pushing all the buttons at random several times each. Sometimes you gt lucky and unstick the button.
If that does not work the ERC(clock) will need replacing.

This almost always requires replacing the touch key panel. Once in a great while you can avoid replacement by disconnecting the ribbon connector from the key panel to the electronic range control and cleaning the end of the ribbon connector with a soft pencil eraser. Good luck.

My frigidaire oven model es400 while cooking in oven, it started beeping and a code of f7 flashed on all control panel Windows. Not oven is higher temp than listed

Hey Scott, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire range is displaying an error code of "F7" and it is beeping. Typically, "F7" stands for runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. If you continue to have issues with the "F7" error code I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for proper diagnosis and replacement of any electrical components. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

''F7'' Error Code

HI. This is the result of a failed function key. This is an integrated part of the main control board. Unfortunately, this is not repairable, and the main control board will need to be replaced, asap.

F7 beeping an cannot stop it... any solutions?

HI, if this error code cannot be canceled, this will confirm a touch pad issue. the membrane is damaged and, this will require you to replace the ERC.

Replacing the Electronic oven control will fix this issue.

F7 code and beeping

in version 1 of your model, F7 requires the replacement of the EDC (electronic door control)
in later versions F7 requires the replacement of the EOC (electronic oven control)

GE Profile Gas Range oven turns off

I just read that the electronic panel malfunctions due to rear burner use. Now, I know that mine gets REALLY HOT in between the back burners (where the heat exhaust for the oven is) whenever I bake/broil. I am guessing that it can cause the same malfunction fromt he oven, as with the backburners. Whenever I use both back burners, mine shows F7 E6, too. Unplugging it for the night or just waiting til the beeping stops and then clearing it works... until I cook again. I read that the replacement part for the control panel is about $300 and another $200, more or less, to install it! I think this is more like a recall or manufacturer's problem. I have read plenty of complaints and I think GE needs to make a call to fix them!!
