Sorry, but the BC72XLT does not support computer programming or computer control. You can get the complete manual for your scanner and information on all current Bearcat scanners at www.uniden.com

I have a Haier led lcd tv receiver and want to use headphones with it but can't find a socket. Is it possible to use headphones with this make of tv?

If there is such a facility, you will see a socket in front pane of the TV itself, marked as "HP" or Headphone. Look for it. If there is no such socket at the front panel of your TV, you can't connect it to a headphone.

No sound from built in speakers

Use a paper clip as a hook to pull the end of the headphone socket to the front, to contact the speakers when headphone is not plugged in. Paper clip of 1 inch size has to be straightened out. One end bent at 1 inch for a lever. The other end bend 1/16" for a hook to pull the end contact. Cut that end to a chisel to use as wedge for side contacts pull to the center. You also need a bright LED flash light to see all the parts in the socket.

How to hook it to a computer

You have to get a 3.5mm phono jack to 2 RCA cable. Connect the phono jack to the audio out socket of your PC ( green socket at the back of the PC if its a desktop or headphone out socket of your Laptop ) and then the 2 RCA plugs to the CD or Axillary input of the Receiver. You can also use the Video Aux input on the front of some Receivers. Just ignore the yellow socket.bobhifi_2.jpg

I have some Labtec speakers which work perfectly with my PC. I got a Macbook for Xmas and converted everything over including itunes and am now unable to use the speakers. Is there a cable other than the...

According to the specs your speakers are intended to use a standard 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack. I doubt your new Macbook will not be equipped with such a jack socket and so if they don't work when plugged into the headphone jack of the Macbook but do work in the headphone jack of the PC it is clearly the fault of the Macbook - maybe the socket is faulty or hasn't been enabled or something.

Sorry but I know nothing about Macintosh other than I hear they are almost entirely interchangeable with Windows these days. If they don't have a headphone socket it would seem they are actually inferior rather than the superiority they claim.

Can i use headphones on the nc10 ?? if so, which socket ??

It appears that on the right hand side of the notebook you should see a green socket. It most likely has a picture of headphones or so. This is how you may use your headphones.

Let me know if you need any more help with this.
