May I know if the LED light at the front panel has a pattern offlashesor flashing continuouslyin green color.
Please check if you can access the "Self diagnostic screen" by following the steps below. - To activate, press the front panel "Activity" and "Channel down" buttons at the same time and hold for 5 secs. The Status led will then flash a two digit code. Example, if the error code is "23" the led light flashes2 times(blink, blink)pauseand then flash3 times(blink, blink, blink). Let me know the error code, it will help to diagnose where the fault came from. Note: the TV must be inshutdownnot switched off, or AC power cord is removed because the code will reset to "12" means no error. Use the front panel buttons not on the remote control. If you can't access the self diagnostic, press and hold the "Activity" button on the front panel for 5 secs before entering the "self diagnostic" code.
The television is shutting itself off to protect itself. The blinking light is a code pattern. The specific code determines whether or not you need an LCD Controller Unit, Main Board, power supply or something else. You would need the service manual. There are parts distributors you can get it from and the parts as well. If soldering and tv repair is not something you are entirely familiar you may want to seek a tv repair person. The manufacturer's support may walk you through the service menus to complete a factory reset depending upon the symptoms.
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://homenol.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

It is rear projection TV that use 3 picture tubes of red-green-blue to show color picture on tv front screen. Do you see standby red light blinking when TV shuts off after showing blue image for a while? If red standby light is blinking, please count it how many times it blinks, there would be 3 seconds pause between blinks so count pause to pause and post it here to find out possible solution. Thanks.

While I can't tell you what this particular code means I know from experience that power boards fail frequently commonly on those TVs. Do you hear a clicking of the power supply first on and then off after a few seconds?
it is a bad fan. it also could be a power supply. Quite often the real problem is dirt clogging up the fan(s) to the
point that they need to be replaced. Operation of the set in a dirty
environment is not a good idea
