Bosch dishwasher Water pump not stopping

The water extractor pump does not stop and the timer does not go to 0 sometimes. Stays on 1. The pump seems to run for the last +-50 mins of the cycle. Otherwise seems to wash the dishes ok. Sometimes the cycle has to be reset before starting ok.
Its is almost 8 years old now.

You need to replace the pressure switch located near to the pump, in the drain assembly.
The main function of the pressure switch is to turn off pump when there is no more water.
The pressure switch can be tested reading ohms on switch contacts and jumping the switch. This must be done by a technician.

You can get parts and a quote on repair calling Bosch at the number listed on the manual.

"water not draining" and "Not getting water" seem to be mutually exclusive.
If it is not draining but the motor is running you need a pump replacement.
If it isn't getting water you may need a water valve.

I have a Bosh Logic dishwasher SGS65L12GB/04 The other day it got to 1 min left and would not stop pumping out water and continued even with the door open. After 5 mins playing around it started working...

Welcome to FixYa.

Your float may have got stuck or it's possible that you have water leaking into the bottom of the washer. In the bottom of the wash compartment, next to the drain you will find a plastic dome/mushroom (the float). You might need to rotate the bottom spray arm to see it.

Turn the washer on so that the pump starts to run, open the door and push down on the float. This should stop the pump running. When you let go of the float, if it rises back up on its own, then it's almost certain that you have water in the bottom of the washer. If this is the case please post back for further assistance. If the float stays down, then it may have simply got stuck.

Please try this simple test and post back with the results.

Bosch Dishwasher stuck at 1

I am currently experiencing a very similar problem. However, I have taken the dishwasher out of the kitchen and plumbed and power it up outside. After tipping the water out of the reservoir on the side, it will start a cycle, it will circulate water. But sticks at 1 minute, trying to pump out water and I'm assuming being told by a sensor that there's water still in the machine. Also I note a small amount of water escaping via the plastic base and water pooling in the base.
Doing the code test shows C2 P0 E1 and then 2 depending on the buttons pressed.
My next task is to get it on a workbench on it's side and take the base off. I'm going to try to trace the source of the water in the base and go from there...

If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:---
Water-heating cycle Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too. Timer Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Bosch 1200 classixx not working properly. On 12 min spin cycle it starts then after 1 min timer reads 0:01 and it stops. washing cycles run but doesn't seem to be any spin action

Make sure there is no water in drum.
Remove and clean pump filter, this is usually located at the bottom front right of washer, behind drop down cover.
Unscrew anti- clockwise to remove and clean.

If you have to bang the float to stop the the float switch is not working correctly.. you may have somthing holdig it up or the switch itshelf is failed...

My SHU43C is just over 3 years old. I had a similar problem recently. First, there were a few floods. Then, the Bosch only drained non-stop. Even when I used the Cancel Drain buttons the drain pump would run without stopping. When I tried to run one of the cleaning cycles, no water entered the machine. Corrective: I removed the base plate, and saw that the red plastic floatation device was in the up position. Using a flashlight and a wooden spoon, I lightly toggled the red float stem down. I pushed regular clean cycle and kept toggling with the red float stem until the rinse water started to enter the machine (turning the red stem seems to also actuate a step in the program). Now the dishwasher runs normally. Voila!
