I have a Craig CMP616F MP3 player. In "Set Up", After I set the "online mode" to "Media Device" from "USB Disk", it was working ok until I loaded Apple iTunes. When Apple iTunes attempted to load, it crashed! Flashing start up screen, blue with Hour Glass, then blank out, attempt to restart and the same thing, blue screen with hour glass. There is no known reset proceedure at this time, I started it, let it run and recycle endlessly until the batteries expired. Not recommended, because of battery life, but this did reset this model. Success! A drastic step for the irrecoverable MP3. When I used a standard charger 110v Ac to USB (wall current) it started up, no lost files! Lucky, maybe, I hope this will work for you if you haven't thought of it.
Any way you can try and fully reboot it or take the battery out. Sounds like either a firmware lock up issue or a connection issue to your PC.
Blessings,
A/V Media Guy
I have the same silly hourglass driving me crazy.....and I also have it stuck in "intro" mode and can't seem to find how to get it out. It plays the first 10 seconds of every song. I have a Craig MP3, also.
Any ideas on how to get to "intro" to change it or how to get a manual for Craig.
