Could i use a 6.3 250v fuse instead?
If you look on the board that the fuse sits on you will see printed it states 6amp 125 Volt / 3amp 250Volt. This means that you can use either one. I think that is why the fuse states E.6.3 125Volt... I think it means either 6 amp (125 Volt) or 3 amp (250 volt). I noticed on the back of a fuse package that I bought that it stated these were interchangable so I put two and two together.
Radio Shack has pretty much any fuse you need (although you may have to buy a pack of 5 of them).
Do NOT use a higher amperage rating that required. It has that rating for a reason.
If the fault occurs again, and you had a higher rated fuse in it, it will have too much resistance and possibly damage another component.
I have a tv that doesnt turn on I opened it I noticed the fuse was out it uses a 6.3 amp 125 v fuse went to radio shack to try to buy it they didnt have it so I baught 5amp 125 v fuse I tryed it 2 times but they blew if i get the correct amount will it work or if these blew it mean the right one will blow
A LIGHTER AMPERAGE FUSE WILL BURN OUT,, A HIGHER AMP FUSE MAY DESTROY YOUR EQUIPTMENT,,, Use Radio shack as
Nitrotrike
Suggested.. Get the exact same fuse,, however in the event you cant, get another fuse with similar vales and a fuse holder, then just wire the fuse holder to the contacts on the holder with the fuse you are attempting to replace,,
BTW something always causes the fuse to blow,, if you dont know what has caused it chances are it will happen again if you dont get that fixed..
Same fuse problem.
250v i tried it'll blow as soon as you press power.
special shops or computer repair places might have one.

this place has one for a sony vaio
but it's five bucks and it's too small for my house stereo...but i'll
fix that.
but if you are going to go cheap use a 6amp and keep the voltage 125. it could make the lights dimmer or speakers weaker so i wouldn't recommend ever using the wrong fuse...especially on a tv or camera
IKnow does not know what he is talking about. Using a higher amperage fuse can damage your device.
Can I use a 6amp 125 volt on a Sony tv
No, you may use a higher amperage (6.3a or higher) fuse (not lower) but the voltage 125v has to be the same

This worked for me. My set has a little panel around the power cord with a single screw; the real trick is fitting my hand in there to change the fuse. I guess they make the opening for monkeys or small children or something.

It will work, the amp rating is most important, 125v / 250v does
not matter.......note: if you blow the fuse again, the TV will
need service.................T.
