The RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver?

The antenna has a long wire with suction cups, an end fitting, and a socket near the end fitting, right?

Okay. Attach the antenna along the edges of your car's windshield with the suction cups. Plug the end fitting into the bottom of the Tom Tom. Then plug your normal Tom Tom power cable into the socket on the antenna.

Turn on the Tom Tom. See what you have.

You'll know it's working if you see a new display, vertical, on the far-right edge of the screen. A green circle at the top of that new display tells you if it's receiving and interpreting a signal.

Usually the first year's subscription is included in the purchase price.

Delay dial tone problem

Handling Process
Try to test on Huawei ONT:
- Used toolbox to analyze the traffic at ONU.- Took traces w.r.t to telno. and V5 id.- No problem found in V5.2.- Checked the ts status using dynamic view of timeslot for PV4 card at the ONU and found timeslots were almost fully occupied at busy hours.- Added one more E1 to ONU and observed the traffic, problem was resolved and had enough timeslots available for subscribers.
Root Cause
E1s assigned to ONU are not as per subscriber load and all E1 Timeslots occupied soon in peak load hours.
Suggestions
- Project Erlang calculation should be calculated specifically for each ONU as per expected subscriber load instead of full network.

When I bought my new Garmin Nuvi, I understood that it had traffic loaded on it. I do not know how to use it if it is on the machine already. How do I find that feature? Joyce

You must have the correct Traffic Receiver plug , its the car cigarrete lighter adapter it has 2 lights on the plug in one will be Green for power the other may be Red if Traffic is not subscribed yet, so you might have a green and red showing.

If you have already have Traffic once you navigate to where you want to go, and the Car Adapter plug has to be used, go to Menu...Tools...Traffic

You can also check when the Car adapter plug is used, Menu...Tools...Traffic it will say if you have the Lifetime Traffic subscription if not...the following will get you going

First you must subscribe to the FM Traffic .... Premium Traffis Subscription by Navteq-North American
Go to www.Garmin.com under the Extra tab you will see Services.... Traffic

CANNOT ACCESS TOM TOM TRAFFIC

If you're using a RDS-TMC, then you don't need to go through Tom Tom Traffic. The traffic bar should show up on the right-hand side of the screen, and you're good to go.

If that bar isn't showing up, here's what to do:

Reset the navigator (use a paperclip in the hole on the bottom of the unit). Plug the RDS-TMC antenna into the navigtor. Plug the car charger cable into the RDS-TMC antenna. Turn on the Tom Tom.

Is there a traffic information bar now?

Tomtom traffic reciever

You can purchase a traffic receiver through Tom Tom here:

http://www.tomtom.com/services/service.php?id=44

or here:

http://www.tomtom.com/products/accessories/accessory.php?ID=804

The device depends on external transmitters broadcasting traffic data. I'm not certain that the service is even available in South Africa. Please check to make sure you can use it before you purchase anything.

I have a Tom Tom One T purchased about 7 months ago. It has suddenly stopped receiving Traffic Information. When the RDS -TMC is plugged in my Tom Tom does not detect that it is connected. Can anyone offer...

Try resetting the Tom Tom.

Use a paperclip in the reset hole in the bottom of the navigator. See the manual for more details on resetting.

Often this problem is caused by unplugging from the antenna while the navigator is still turned on.
