get new ic's and replace them the kit is like $30 if you are good at soldering

You have a power supply or shutdown circuit problem.There is a manual called toshiba power supply and shutdown circuit troubleshooting available at the following link for 10.99 this book is invaluable for repairing those circuits. your model is coverd in that manual. here is the link, They will email it to you also.

Hi, I`m assuming your saying the letters on the screen have different colors (red, blue, or green) shifted to the left or right?
If so try going into the menu and adjusting your "convergence"
adjustments, basically, move the red onto the green then move the blue onto the green and the bar turns white, if one or more of the colors doesn`t adjust either up/down or left/right then the convergence IC`s have failed, this will require removal of the board and unsoldering the old IC`s and installing and soldering in the new IC`s, questions? e-mail me back, BMW Rider

Hi, convergence circuit has failed, the IC`s will have to be changed,possibly a couple of precision support resistors as well and the set will then need to be re-converged, More questions? feel free to ask away, Happy Holidays, BMW Rider

otherwise sounds like an audio chip is bad.

Convergence issue...replace STK392-110 IC's on small PCB
mounted by itself above power supply....................T.

Pull chassis,check soldered in micro-fuses,F851,F852,etc.

2)Usually,convergence IC's need replacement,if shorted.Check
