I have a Sylvania 6419TC 19" TV and I am trying to connect a DVD player(works fine with other TV). I read in the forum and tried to turn ON and OFF video mode in the TV with no luck. PLease help

I had the same problem until today. I bought the same tv and went to Kmart/Walmart. I bought the RCA Universal remote (RCR412SI). Only set me back $10-11 bucks. Has like 3-4 ways to set the tv, dvd, sat-cable and vcr/aux. Even allows several tvs I believe. Couldn't set it at first, then there was the other method where the remote did the search. Worked! I hope this helps everyone out. If you have the 6419TC 19" TV, it will work, just make sure you read
the directions and be patient. Will save you money.

Just saw this support website. I use Philips 6 device Universal Remote. P6DSS. I use the Code Search (by Brand) press 6 for Sylvania, Push CH up until the channel change. it works for me...Good luck to everyone...

and i lost my remote and donno what to do i tryed to change the caption, llooked for channel 00, video nothing game mode on and off nothing, can anyone solve this or do i need a blow up this t.v?
