ITS cd tray is revolving when we press insert button . tray moves inward and it do't select any cd .and tray comes out again. main problem is it do't select any cd

You have a slack loading belt under the tray.The loading action is not being completed because of it.
The Cd lifting mechanism requires more torque than the tray rotating action. If you put your ears close to the tray you will hear a belt slipping sound after the loading tray goes in . If you push the disc motor assembly with your hand from underneath the action sometimes get completed and the cd will start playing. Any way you cannot be doing this all the time, the belt needs changing. Its a set of two belts, one very small for the tray rotation and a thicker/bigger one for loading mechanism.

I have a samsung home cinema systems HT-DB120,and eveytime i go and turn this on it cames up protected, then 2 seconds and turns off.

Assuming you did NOT modify the speaker complement...

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts and overloads by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Why does the Samsung Home Theater DVD player display the word PROTECT then does not work?

if the speaker connections are not properly or anything wrong in dvd drive it goes in protection mode.remove all the speakers and insert the cd and see if it works with headphones. if it works check all the speakers one by one

I have an RCA DVD/VHS combo with TVG. The DVD

This is a work-around rather than a solution. We put an audio CD in the tray and after closing the tray the unit begins to play the music. After waiting a few seconds we open the tray and quickly substitute a DVD and it loads OK. We had also tried cleaning the player to no avail. The CD approach is a pain but it does allow us to play DVDs. Jim

Recording trouble

Hi again,

I understand. Must be a glitch somewhere. Anyways, I already posted possible solutions here your original posting/problem. They were:
1. Power on the Philips FW-R7, leave the left tray empty and closed. Open the tray and put in a recorded CD (not a CDR but a regular CD from your music collection), close the right tray. Wait a couple of seconds as the FW-R7 reads the CD. Now open the tray, remove the music CD and insert your CDR. The FW-R7 should read the CDR without the error message and record to the CDR from any source. Let me know if this works for you;
2. laser cleaning or realignment (would need a service center);
3. try using lower then 40X blank CDs.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Samsung HT-DB120 DVD tray

I assume it DID work at one time. You need to take it apart and see how the tray is driven... belt or gear. If belt driven you could replace the belt.
