Try this: First check which cartridge(s) are not being recognized. In my case where I replaced all three color cartridges, two were recognized right away but one was not. You find out by sending a print request to the printer and looking at the ink cartridge levels diagram in the dialog window. In my case two of three were fine but one had a red X on it. So I removed it and cleaned the contacts with alcohol then rocked it in the slot after pressing it in. It was recognized and the charging process began as normal.

Need to get ink cartridges out of my epson stylus SX100 how do i do this

Turn printer on and print something. When the printhead/cartridges are out in the centre, switch off at power point or pull the plug out. You can then move the printhead by hand and remove/replace the cartridges.
Then just connect the power cord or turn the power back on.

Epsom sx100 keeps saying cartridges are not compatatble but are using epsom inks

If you have Genuine Epson cartridges and they do not work, call Epson Tech Support. You have to be patient [they're in India] and you may have to ask to speak to someone in the US if you're getting nowhere with TS.

Epson Stylus NX415 does not recognize ink cartridges. Cartridges are Epson 88's. Worked for awhile, and then stopped recognizing them. Tried powering down the printer, cleaning the cartridges, turning...

Epson Printers are sensitive in terms of Ink Cartridges.. The latest Epson Printers does not have ink reseter.. Ink reseter are already built-in on the ink cartridges.. The problem on this printer is when you have a cartridge on your printer, let say, 30% of the ink level, even though your ink is new, and you change it without using the right ink replacement method, it will recognize your ink as a 30% ink level. When your ink level drops to 0%, but you have remaining 70% of the ink, it does not recognize it anymore. The chip on the ink cartridge is already registered as an empty cartridge.

Hi i have a epson stylus sx400 ansd when im trying to print pictures the faces are coming out purple???

It is possible that the colour ink cartridge needs to be replaced. Be sure to use original Epson cartridges as Generic ones give problems.

Epson stylus dx6000 error message e-02 have tried

Hi

Chances are the mechanism to recognize the ink cartridges is already damage and it may cause a lot having it replaced. I suggest to get a new printer instead specially if you have tried reseating the ink cartridges several times and won't work still.

Thanks for using Fixya

Ink not compatable on sx 400

Try pulling out the cartridges and powering down the printer. Put the cartridges back in and pull power back up. That may let the printer recognize them and sober up. If you have recently replaced the cartridges, make sure that the new ones are EXACTLY the same as the old ones. Even if they fit, they may not work.

Why won't my CX9400F recognize Epson ink cartridges

The Epson CX9400F printer seems to require replacement of all the color ink cartridges, even if only the Black is empty.

I print almost exclusively in Black, but with my first change of Black, I was forced to change all the color. At the time I thought Epson did not provide completely filled color ink cartridges.

Just yesterday, I replaced Black and the printer complained it did not recognize the rest of color cartridges. So I replaced all the other color ink cartridges and now it works fine.

You might want to check out www.clickinks.com for cheaper, mail order alternatives which are Epson ink compatible, if you are not in a hurry.

Ink not compatiable

Hi. When I fitted the second set of cartridges to my Epson Stylus Photo 1400, the printer failed to recognize any of them, even though they were genuine Epson! I repeatedly installed and un-installed them without success. After giving it a bit of thought, I had a hunch that the contacts on the cartridges might not be making good contact with the contacts on the printer as the cartridges seemed a little loose. I removed each cartridge in turn and after putting some adhesive tape on the opposite end to the contacts, (there are grooves cut into this end, but the tape drops nicely into them when you install the cart) replaced them all. (This had the effect of pushing the cartridges harder against the contacts). Switched on again and all carts worked fine. So it seems that even Epson can't make the cartridges to fit their own printer properly! Having said that it's a great printer otherwise. I hope this is helpful to you.
