BLACK BAR I HAVE A HP PL4260N 42" PLASMA HDTV IT HAVE A BLACK BAR GOING ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN THE BAR IS ABOUT 3'' FROM BOTTOM AND IT HAS RETRACE LINE ON TOP OF THE BLACK BAR THE REST OF THE PICTURE IS OKAY FROM ABOUT MIDDLE WAY AND UP.

I had the same problem and HP has been very helpful, try calling this number 877-917-4380 ext. 79 and be firm tell them this needs to be fixed. They are sending my second replacement part and said they will keep sending parts till it works, this tv is almost 3 years old.

Just to update this issue, HP has now agreed to replace my plasma free of charge, they dont know how to fix it and after a couple of tries they gave up and I'll get my new one next Friday. For all of those trying , keep trying and don't give up, don't take no for an answer.
