Just recieved my s9 hd headphones from ebay and they will not charge. i've tried using the motorola charger that came with them as well as the usb cable for the computer. Red light comes on for about a minute then goes out. When i unplug it and plug it in again, the red light comes on for about 30 sec then goes out. On the third try no light at all. When i turn the headphones on the blue light flashes slowly. If i hold the on switch down for longer when turning it on the blue light flashes and the red light flashes quickly indicating battery low. HELP
Try to press the power boton in the same time you plug the charger, after this action mine is working and charging perfectly, maybe this is the "reset" solution... Hope this helps you.

I just had the same issue. I charge my headset every day so I came to the conclusion that the short was due to a small piece of metal shorting out a connector in the chargeing port of the headset.
I fixed it by first opening the charging cover and holding the headset by the ears in one hand. I then lightly tapped the opening against my other hand to loosen the metal shard. After doing this a few times, the sound came back. I then used a can of compressed air to finally flush out the intrusive shard. I didn't see how large it was but now my S9-HD headphones work!
I'll check the connections on my 2 chargers to see if they have any evidence of breakage because I did notice when I plug in the set, I have to jiggle the connector a little recently.
Bluetooth headsets, like many portable devices can be charged on a USB port on a computer, which supply less than 1A, so either charger would be suitable. Looking at the manual, a full charge should take two hours, so half an hour seems a little quick. Perhaps it was part charged? You could see if you can listen to music for six hours on a charge, and if so how long it takes to charge then. The manual can be found here.S9 user guide - Motorola
make sure you charge the S9 using a motorola mini usb AC charger or a mini USB cord plugged into a live port.
press and hold the circle vertical bar until the light is steady blue and pair it with your bluetooth device. you only have two buttons at the rear of the device under the motorola logo.
I had this problem as well, and my issue stemmed from a faulty charger that came with my headset. I would suggest trying to charge your headphones with a different cable. I found that I could charge my headphones with the microUSB cable that connects my laptop to my external hard drive.
I had the same problem but instead of a red light it would flash green twice and stay off. I could not find the original charger and another plug in charger would not work. I plugged it into my computer with a usb cable and after several seconds it started charging.
I did exactly what geozep0 indicated in his comment with similar successful results. I called the Motorola customer service number: 1-866-289-6686. Per the representative I spoke with, Motorola's standard warranty policy covers the entire unit (including the earbuds) for one year from the date of purchase. They are sending me new earbuds free of charge. Success!
