Wont turn on - Tecnik 23 in. TKH4050 Electric Cooktop

sounds like knob needs replacing (broken).

pull knob off and wd 40 the post that holds the knob

Check power supply at socket or meter box. Make sure that the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Also, induction cooktops wont heat without induction cookware. They must be steel. Glass cookware wont work on an induction cooktop.

make sure there is not a build up of oil or grease
under ignighter

replace the switches, its easy to replace,call the service center to get the part to replace,if very expensive,buy an ordinary switch,put in the wire of ur unit.every time u use it turn it,or buy a plug or an adaptor have switch at the side,make sure the adaptor is fit in ur unit.

if the knobs wont turn, the cooker needs to be serviced by a gas engineer the gas taps are seized they need gas tab grease

If you have turned the on/off switch to off and the oven stays on then the on/off switch contacts have fused together inside the switch.

If it were the thermostat it would get hot but would shut down in the off position

You need a need switch as simple as that

try to remove the knods then put a drop oil in knobs to remove the dust or try to use vise grip to help u to turn then if turn return the knobs but carefully to turn the knobs if u ise visegrip or plier
