Unit will not charge up
It sounds as if the battery may be defective. I would contact Garmin and they can assist you in getting a new battery installed.

The reset button on my Garmin c340 is behind the plastic trim around the front. You will see a small indent for a fingernail or something like that along the inside at the top lift up at that point and it should come off no problem

The Garmin Streetpilot C340 is discontinued, so there isn't much support for it. You can find some updates at

No.......the C340 STREET PILOT has a hidden reset button. Put your fingernail in the slot just under the GARMIN name on the front face plate. Gently pull the face plate outward. Don't take it all the way off. The reset button is on the right side of the front screen just under this plate. Use a pointed object and hold the button IN for 3 seconds and unit will turn off. When you power it back up it will REBOOT.

Some garmin gps units some times have a reset buttom on the bottom under the serial number if not. The internal battery is bad. These units have e rechargable lithium battery once that goes bad, your unit wont turn on even if its fully charge. If you still have warranty on the product i recommend you replace it
