Problem with Navigation system - Discussion on Topix

Had same problem with 2008 Honda Civic.
Note: you will need anti-theft code so get it first!
Solution:
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Look for fuse box under steering wheel.
3. Remove fuse #35 which is for the Navi-audio unit.
4. Then re-insert the fuse. This will reset the system.
5. Turn ignition on and the Navi-audio on. Buttons WILL be working now.
6. The unit will request for the anti-theft code for Navi-audio system. Enter the 4 digit code....Yippee!
However, I lost all my radio preset stations. Thankfully my saved destinations in navigation system were intact.

for some strange reason these units need the navigation/GPS antenna to get accurate range i had this problem with a install in Canada it said i was driving on water..........installed a GPS pioneer antenna and i was in my zone 2ft from actual location and no longer in the water ....this unit like all gets glitches from time to time and can reset sometimes on there own but because you are surrounded by water it is confused with actual location ....hope i was able to help you

is this harman or garmin? if garmin go to garmin web site. you have to join w/user name and all. i think a fee of $25 is required. you can download new maps to a memory card to install on your gps. mike

yes, you can. you will need to purchase the navigation system from pioneer. as far as programming / subsription, i don't know.

This is a feature in the Navi Menu. display option. something about trails. turn them off. you can have them off, on for the day or full memory of everywhere you have been

You have to go back to the menu and reset. Youcan take the help of owners mannual supllied along with the unit.
